The
SkyEarth Orchestra
The music of Steve Reel’s SkyEarth Orchestra is a cornucopia of harmonic styles. Their sound has been compared to “Mannheim Steamroller”, “Yes”, “Riverdance”, and “Acoustic Alchemy”, Jethro Tull, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Afro-Celt.
The members of the SkyEarth Orchestra perform on exotic instruments such as:
* Celtic harp and bodhran
* Indian tamboura and tabla
* Australian didgeridoo
as well as more contemporary violin, sax, drums, bass, guitars, mandolins and keyboards.
A Dreamlike MultiMedia Extravaganza
The L.E.D. lightshow is capable of 16 million color combinations, and is environmentally friendly. The entire bank of back lights uses less than 100 watts of power and runs cool to the touch. An equivalent lightshow using traditional par lamps would use at least 1600 watts.
Behind the band, projections visually enhance the music, including photographs of exotic locations, computer generated animations and even classic cartoons. Together with the lighting and music, they help take the audience on a trip through the imagination.
As a fan said...“That was more than just a concert... it was an experience.”
